Yachting & Crusing Risk Management (YCRM) offers 3 courses dedicated to maritime security, open to captains, crew and private individuals. These courses are covered by former managesr of the following services (DGSE, DGSI, DRM….)
Ship Security Officer (SSO)
Course Duration: 3.5 days
Fee: 1100€ per person (min. 5 persons)
Managing and supervising the implementation of ship security plan.
Assessing security risks, threats and level of vulnerability.
Carrying out regular inspections of vessel to ensure appropriate security measures are being applied and maintained.
Ensuring equipment and security systems, where required, are used correctly, tested and calibrated.
Promoting security awareness and vigilance.
At the end of this course, participants may qualify for the Ship Security Officer certificate as defined in Section A-VI/5 of the STWV Code.
Maritime Security Awareness
Course Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Fee: €250 per person (min. 5 persons)
Preparation before navigating in high-risk zones.
Reacting in the event of an aggression.
What to do if taken hostage.
Use of shipboard defensive mechanisms.
Preparation of the latest defence technology solutions.
Confidentiality Awareness Course
Course Duration: 2 hours
Fee: €350 per person (min. 5 persons)
Confidentiality and secrecy protection.
Lecture on risks associated with breaches of confidentiality.
Basic reflexes to adopt concerning confidentiality.
Confidentiality loopholes that are most often exploited.
Presentation and description of technical methods employed.
Learning about where electronic listening devices are most likely to be installed.
